Submissions

Electronic submissions are preferred and can be sent to me as e-mail attachments. Microsoft Word (Mac or Windows), OpenOffice, RTF and plain text documents are all acceptable. With Word and OpenOffice, editing is done using the Track Changes feature, which allows for changes, suggestions, notes and comments to be “layered” into subsequent versions of the document — the whole editing process is saved as we go along. Documents with other formats will have substantial changes, notes and suggestions placed in brackets, with typos and grammar simply changed.

Work can also be surface mailed. Do not send your original manuscript — mail a copy, please — as it will be physically marked up in green ink (I always hated the old red pencil…) and highlighted. Manuscripts should be typed, double-spaced and in a 12-point serif font, such as Times New Roman.
